When you apply to be a guest on The Advertising Heat Check, we collect the following information through our application form:
- Contact information: full name, email address, company, job title, and phone number (optional).
- Shipping address: street address, city, state, ZIP code, and country — used solely for complimentary gift fulfillment.
- Application responses: your answers to our conversation-prep questions about advertising trends and personal interests.
- Gift selection: your complimentary gift preference.
- Release form signature: if you sign our recording release, we store your typed signature and the date/time of signing.
Cookies & Analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with the application. These tools may set cookies on your device to collect:
- Page views, scroll depth, and form interaction events
- Referring source, UTM campaign parameters, and general geographic region
- Device type, browser, and screen resolution
We also collect lightweight, anonymous interaction data (e.g., which form step you reached and time spent per step) to improve the application experience. This data is not tied to your personal identity unless you submit the form.
How We Use Your Information
- Gift fulfillment: Your shipping address is used solely to deliver your complimentary gift ahead of your recording session.
- Session coordination: Your contact information is used to schedule, prepare for, and follow up on your recording session.
- Episode production: Your application responses help us prepare targeted, relevant conversation topics.
- Communication: We may email you with session details, your prep package, the recording release form, and post-episode deliverables (clips, full episode links).
Recording & Content Release
Before your recording session, we will send you a recording release form that covers permission to use your recording (audio and video) for the podcast episode, short-form clips, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials. The release also covers distribution across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, and the Agility website.
No recording takes place without your signed consent. You may request removal of your content at any time by emailing matt@agilityads.com. We will make reasonable efforts to remove it within 30 days, though content already shared by third parties cannot be recalled.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared with the following parties for the purposes described:
- Agility (agilityads.com): The parent company producing this podcast — for session coordination, content production, and distribution.
- Shipping providers: Your address is shared with fulfillment partners solely for gift delivery.
- HubSpot: Your name, email, company, and title are stored in HubSpot CRM for scheduling and communication.
- Vercel: Application data is stored securely on Vercel's infrastructure.
- Google: Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics/Tag Manager as described above.
Data Retention
Application data is retained for the duration of your participation in the podcast and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up, content management, and record-keeping purposes. Signed release forms are retained indefinitely as a legal record of consent. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
